SIF Stavanger opts for demountable grandstand
Arena Seating has installed a seating grandstand for the Norwegian Football Club SIF Stavanger following its promotion to the Norwegian Men’s First Division (the division below Norway’s Premier League).
Like many recently-promoted clubs internationally, SIF needed a higher standard of facilities at its ground, the SIF Stadion, but was not yet in a position to build a permanent new stadium. Unlike most clubs at this level, though, the stadium had no seating at all, just raised spectator mounds for standing audiences.
Arena Seating supplied the club with a 1,063-seat grandstand on a rental basis for the 2009 season, which kicks off on 12th April in Norway, with an option to buy if the club needs a longer term facility.
“The club liked the fact that they had a high quality demountable grandstand which would adapt to the circumstances of the club, reflecting SIF Stavanger’s improved status,” says Arena Seating Director Dave Withey.
