Arena Seating adds extra lift at Mandela concert

Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday 46664 concert in Hyde Park this year, presented an intriguing challenge for Arena Seating.

As well as a bespoke, three tiered platform hosting VVIP seating on the top level for Mr Mandela’s guests, including Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Arena had to install a lift to allow the much-loved former South African President to access the structure with minimal effort.

The lift helped Nelson Mandela in his journey to and from the stage, where he delivered a speech which was rapturously received.
