Game, set and match for Arena Group’s summer tennis
Whilst Nadal proved to be the star player on court, The Arena Group also turned in star performances at The Stella Artois Championships at Queens Club and the Wimbledon Championships again this year. The group has a long standing relationship with both events and is official supplier to both.
At Queens Club all the viewing facilities are temporary in this very compact site. Arena Seating maximised the venue’s capacity through clever design and specially-built grandstand corner sections, incorporating media facilities into the grandstand. Arena Scaffolding created a complex sub-structure with interconnecting tunnel walkways supporting the seating. Arena Structures created stunning double decker hospitality venues and transformed the indoor practice courts into contemporary restaurants and players’ lounge through design-led solutions, working with Networks.
Arena Structures created the prestigious Wimbledon hospitality village that hosted the VIP guests throughout the fortnight on outer practice courts. David Moynes led a team that took great care while achieving the highest of standards, introducing a new (more environmentally friendly) hardwood decking courtyard at the entrance to the village.
For the first time this year Arena also supplied the Sportsworld hospitality structure opposite the main entrance, Arena Seating provided the temporary grandstand facilities at Wimbledon.
Sister company Spaceworks supplied a wide range of contemporary furniture to both events.
