Arena Seating still in fashion at Clothes Show
The temporary seating specialists Arena Seating are proving to be a hardy perennial at the Clothes Show Live, having supplied audience seating facilities there since its inaugural show, over 10 years ago.
The UK’s leading fashion event, staged in the NEC’s Hall 9, saw celebrities including Robbie Williams, Amy Winehouse, Big Brother’s Ziggy, Peaches Geldhof and Caprice strut their stuff in front of several thousand paying members of the public. In all, 6,000 seats were installed in a horseshoe shape around the catwalk, with a bank of VIP seating located centrally.
In its many years of working at the event, Arena Seating has perfected its approach to the challenges presented by the show. These include an ever more complex seating plan as well as building extra comfort into the plans with features such as carpets, stairways and upholstered seats.
“The Clothes Show Live is an important project for us,” says Arena Seating’s Project Manager, Martin Clark. “The regular nature of the event allows us to plan our business, although there are new features every year to keep it exciting. The layout often changes, depending upon the design, while the tight deadlines always present a challenge.”
